The government has opened a three week consultation period for employment legislation under its 'Red Tape Challenge' scheme, aimed at inviting the public to comment on how laws can be simplified.
The Red Tape Challenge, available here, is divided into four sections:
- Compliance and Enforcement;
- Letting People Go;
- Managing Staff; and,
- Taking People On
You add your comments on employment law regulation to a 'comments' section on the website, which strikes me as notable only for the lack of any balanced views. My favourite is from the chap who complains about all the abbreviations in employment law which he finds difficult to understand, even though he has a (in his words) 'MBA'.
