Recruitment Exercise: Salaried Employment Judges

Earlier this month, the Judicial Appointments Commission launched a competition for the appointment of 50 FTE salaried employment judges.

The deadline for applications has been extended for a week, to 1pm on 23 November 2021. Full details of how to apply are here.

Candidates do not need to hold an existing fee paid judicial office to be eligible to apply, although they do need to have substantial current or previous experience of employment law.

There are vacancies in all Employment Tribunal regions in England and Wales, although the majority of vacancies are likely to be across London and the South East of England. The salary of a FTE employment judge is £114,793.

Salaried part-time working may be available at a minimum of 50%. This will usually be working full weeks in blocks of at least four weeks.
