The President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Choudhury P., has issued an EAT Practice Direction on Remote Hearings which takes effect today.
It revokes and replaces paragraph 19 of the 2018 Practice Direction, and covers:
- the procedure for sitting with a judge and one (not two) lay members (unchanged from the 2018 version);
- how partially and fully remote hearings will work; and,
- the prohibition on parties recording remote hearings.
