The Lord Chief Justice recently appeared before the Justice Select Committee, and was asked a question about employment tribunals (at 15:34:20 here). He said he would ask the Senior President of Tribunals to reply.

It is a detailed analysis of how tribunals have coped with the events of the last eight months, and makes clear the underresoucing problem faced by employment tribunals, explaining why the backlog of cases will continue to rise until more funding is available.
