Competition Opens for EAT Lay Members

The Judicial Appointments Commission has opened a competition to appoint 19 lay members for the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Lay Members hear cases alongside the Judge, asking pertinent questions on law or mixed fact and law; deliberate with the judge on submissions and the decision; and participate in the development of binding case law and guidance for employers and unions/employee representatives impacting on employment relations.
