Mr Justice Choudhury to be new President of EAT
The Ministry of Justice has announced the new President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal, whose three year term of office starts on 1 January 2019.
Sir Akhlaq Choudhury was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1992 and took Silk in 2015. He was appointed a Recorder in 2009, a Deputy High Court Judge in 2016 and a High Court Judge, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division, in 2017.
He succeeds The Honourable Mrs Justice Simler who will be standing down from the role on 31 December 2018 having served 3 years as President.
